Community Health Network

The Community Health Network, Inc. (CHN) was incorporated in 2001 as a 501c3 non-profit by a group of 10 community health center organizations in Tennessee and the Tennessee Primary Care Association (TPCA). TPCA incubated CHN as a subset of its membership in order to share business services wherever possible to increase efficiency and lower costs in the delivery of health care services to the community health population of the state and presently the membership is 16 community health center organizations operating over 80 clinics and 3 Affiliates. The initial CHN services were primarily in the area of information technology (IT) with the institution of a state-wide wide area network and shared practice management system and other IT services. A shared electronic health record has been added to CHN’s services in recent years as well as several shared purchasing programs.
